Dr Holger Grimm studied Economics in Münster and
History of Art in Würzburg, Vienna, Munich, Cologne and Bonn.
His dissertation describes "The Life and Work of Carl
Herpfer", a scholar of Piloty and Ramberg in Munich.
He began as an author for the well known AKL –
Allgemeines Künstlerlexikon and the ÖBL
– Österreichisches Biographisches Lexikon.
He worked as an auctioneer and art historian in auction
houses in Lower Saxony for more than 18 years.

Dr Grimm is an assayer at the chamber of
commerce in Hannover, member of the 'Gesellschaft der
